FIVER: Anything that costs more than $0 up to $10 per child/person
FANCY: Maybe choose one or two of these activities for special treats. They will cost you at least $10 each.

The First Week
It’s Winter, but that doesn’t mean you can’t head out. There are so many, many free indoor activities if you feel like an adventure!
Monday 1st July
FREE: Jurrasic World in Karingal
Not to be missed!!! Take a journey into the Jurassic World Activity Zone for loads of dinosaur fun. Kids will be awed by a set inspired by the film featuring a life-like, animatronic dinosaur! Kids will also receive their own science lab coat to wear at the dinosaur model painting and tracing activity work stations taking home their craft.
FIVER: Junior Burger Masterclass
The Eastland team will be teaching mini Huxtapeeps all about food safety, food presentation and what’s needed to make the perfect cheeseburger! Finishing the class on a sweet note, they’ll also get to create their very own ice cream burger!
FANCY: Transformers, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime Show
Head to The Sands for lunch and a show ($15) or show only ($7). Bookings essential.
Tuesday 2nd July
FREE: Strike Bowling games!
Lots of free fun and games with Strike in Bayside!
FIVER: Build a Bear at Knox
Stuff your own bear for $10, bookings recommended.
FANCY: Acro Kids
Is your kid driving you crazy? Let them get out some energy in this school holiday workshop
Wednesday 3rd July
FREE: Hatchimals Craft Village
Get your craft on at Waverley Gardens (btw… update from last school holiday guide, I still have no idea what Hatchimals are; maybe next time. Won’t see you there!)
FIVER: Get “Frozen” at Lollipops in Carrum Downs.
Meet your fave tribute characters for free (included in your entry price)
FANCY: Meet Buzz and Jessie

Thursday 4th July
FREE: Plant carrots with Peter
Bring your green thumb and head over to Cranbourne Park. Bonus, there’s a great indoor free play area too.
FIVER: Little Red Train
At Wilson Botanic Gardens in Berwick there is a little red train choo-chooing about. Catch a ride for $6 if you’re 3+ or for free if 0-2 (adults ride for $6 too)
FANCY: Magical Princess Entertainment
Meet two of your favourite princesses for fun and games. We’ve seen these ladies in action before and they are fabulous. Take a read here
Friday 5th July
FREE: Farm animal fun in Pakenham
Head to The Heritage Shopping Centre for free petting zoo fun!
FIVER: Lollipops in Noble Park
Lots of great events in Noble Park these holidays. Characters galore (included in entry price)
FANCY: Robot Song at Bunjil Place
Don’t ask me why but Missy Moo is currently in love with robots. She’s already planning her 5th birthday party as a Robot Party despite it not being until January. This show caught my eye and sounds really clever and fun. Hope to see you there.

Monday 8th July
FREE: Crafting at Eastland
Make your own notebook and enjoy the many free indoor play areas!
FIVER: Stuff those bears in Narre!
For $8 stuff a new friend with Stufflers!
FANCY: Design a handbag at MYER
Aimed at kids 3-12 Little Designer Club you get to design a handbag and/or necklace on an ipad then have it made up for you in real time. There’s a photo wall and fun props to really get your pose on afterwards. You can prebook, or just rock up to selected Myer locations. Handbags are $39.95, and necklaces are $19.95 or you can do both for $49.95. We went a while back and had a ball… take a read here
Tuesday 9th July
FREE: Sushi Making Classes
Head to Waverley Gardens and get lessons from the Sushi Pros. Bookings required.
FIVER: Hopscotch Play Cafe
New kid on the block this play cafe is amazing!! I love watching my kids pretend play and this place ticks all the boxes. Read my review here. Bookings required.
FANCY: Reptile Show

Wednesday 10 July
FREE: Bunjil Place
I love visiting Bunjil Place, their events are always fab and excellently organised and executed! While you’re there visit the library too. This holidays they are hosting a cubby village, hedge maze, FAIRY CRAFT, and rock painting!
FIVER: How To Train Your Dragon movie session
Head to Pakenham and see How to Train your Dragon, The Hidden World. For $10 you get your ticket, popcorn and a drink!
FANCY: The Greatest Magic Show
Perfect for kids this amazing show is part of the Melbourne Magic Festival and will be fun for all ages.
Thursday 11th July
FREE: Mt Donna Buang
Beg, borrow or steal a toboggan and drive out to Mt Donna Buang. There’s lots of free snow play and free toboggan runs!

FIVER: Donut decorating at Krispee Kremes
For $7 you get two original glazed donuts and all the toppings to go to town! Plus a bonus hat and balloon….woo hoo!
FANCY: Dinosaurs at the Zoo (all three of them!)
So arguably this could have gone into the FREE category if you are a zoo member (because you really should be). But if you’re not splurge the $$ to go check out the dinosaurs amongst the animals. There’s a whole bunch of special events including movie nights, and opportunities to be a Mega Keeper!
Friday 12th July
FREE: Ninja obstacle course in Cranbourne
Keep your wits about you as you use your ninja and Taekwando skills!
FIVER: Ice Slide
The District Ice Slide is back for another year. Slide over and over again, each slide is a gold coin donation.
FANCY: Peppa Pig Playdate
Join Peppa and all her friends for fun in her little world. Complete with train rides, crafts and meet and greet opportunities!
