Pretend play has finally landed in the Melbourne’s South East, and I couldn’t be happier to visit and check out the brand new Hopscotch Play Cafe.
Mum Sarah (and long time Anyday Adventure follower) reached out to me over 12 months ago with her idea to create a play cafe. I’m so excited to see it come to fruition and she has really pulled off an exceptional play place.
Sit back and relax while your kiddos pretend to cook, clean and do laundry (ironically all the things we ourselves avoid doing while visiting a play cafe!). There’s a construction site, decent book corner and even a working kids play ATM!
Hopscotch Play Cafe ticks all the boxes. There’s glass partitions so you can easily see all play areas at the same time, plenty of high chairs, a kids sized toilet, change table, perfect babycinos, and really reasonably priced food and coffee.
Hopscotch Play Cafe has just opened so there might be a few changes in the coming months and presently it is open 7 days a week; but weekends are reserved for parties and private functions only.
This is a bit of a bummer for working families, but for the time being this is how it is. Monday to Friday there are morning and afternoon play sessions available with advanced booking encouraged to avoid disappointment.
The entry fee is $8.50, with adults and under 12m olds free.

My girls honestly had a blast here. They were engaged, happy, and entertained. I had my entire coffee before it went cold…. winning!
Hopscotch Play Cafe really is the perfect place for pretend play. Organise some friends and book it in. Book online here
