FIVER: Anything that costs more than $0 up to $10 per child/person
FANCY: Maybe choose one or two of these activities for special treats. They will cost you at least $10 each.

Monday 8th April
FREE: The Hungry Caterpillar in Cranbourne
Meet and greets, a scavenger hunt and activities (plus a great indoor play space), this one will be worth a visit!
FIVER: Hulk Smash and Ironman Tribute Show
Sure you could upgrade to get a meal too but for $7 just come along and enjoy the show!
FANCY: Tesselaar Kabloom
The autumn cousin of the Tulip Festival Kabloom will be full of fun, flowers, entertainment and epic face painting!! See my blog post about last year’s Kabloom here.
Tuesday 9th April
FREE: Party at the Park
Pack your picnic and head to Langwarrin for fun, live music and a great picnic atmosphere.
FIVER: Transformers Live Show
Head to Lollipops in Carrum Downs to see your fave transformers live on stage! Show included as part of your play centre entry… use Small Ideas for 50% off!
FANCY: Punting on the Lake
Take a guided boat cruise around the bays and islands of Ornamental Lake in the Royal Botanic Gardens!
Wednesday 10th April
FREE: Hatchimals in Karingal
Are you a Hatchimals fan? I’m still not really sure what they are? But if you know you might like to head to Karingal for crafts and to meet Draggle! (I have no idea who Draggle is)
FIVER: Putt Putt at Eastland
Putt your way around 6 Easter themed holes (with moving parts and everything). Gold coin donation appreciated with money raised going to the Alannah and Madeline Foundation.
FANCY: Acro Kids
Is your kid driving you crazy? Let them get out some energy in this school holiday workshop
Thursday 11th April
FREE: Minions Craft at Casey Central
Activities, craft and Easter fun too!
FIVER: Little Red Train
At Wilson Botanic Gardens in Berwick there is a little red train choo-chooing about. Catch a ride for $6 if you’re 3+ or for free if 0-2 (adults ride for $6 too)
FANCY: Design a handbag at MYER
Aimed at kids 3-12 you get to design a handbag and/or necklace on an ipad then have it made up for you in real time. There’s a photo wall and fun props to really get your pose on afterwards. You can prebook, or just rock up to selected Myer locations. Handbags are $39.95, and necklaces are $19.95 or you can do both for $49.95. We went last holidays… take a read here
Friday 12th
FREE: Family Fun Day + Movie Night
Head to Cranbourne Homemakers Centre for free jumping castles, rides and to watch HOP on the big screen.
FIVER: Sky High
Excellent free activities on everyday at Sky High, but there is a $7 per car parking fee. Check out all the activities here.
FANCY: The Junior Mighty Little Puppet Show
If you like puppets, if you like comedy, if you have kids, then this is the Melbourne Comedy Festival show to see. And if you don’t like these things…. then why are we friends? Really? Saw this last year and really loved it. Use code RITAS for $15 tickets!

Monday 15th April
FREE: Bunjil Place
I love visiting Bunjil Place, their events are always fab and excellently organised and executed! They’ve got sports, games and music activities all for free for the kids. While you’re there visit the library too.
FIVER: Easter Freak Shakes with TGIs
Head to TGIs at Eastland and for $5 make an epic Easter Egg shake!
FANCY: Boneo Maze
Such a fun day out with vintage lawn games, mazes and mini golf. Currently there’s Peter Pan themed sand sculptures on display too.
Tuesday 16th April
FREE: Sushi Making Classes
Head to Waverley Gardens and get lessons from the Sushi Pros. Bookings required.
FIVER: Meet the Farm Animals.
Spend the morning out at Green Olive in Red Hill. Meet the animals, have a farm tour and maybe stay for a cheeky wine! Green Olive even has in-ground trampolines so your kids will love it. Gold coin donation to support Riding for the Disabled Mornington Peninsula.
FANCY: Luke and Alex Make Your Parents Disappear
Ok, so if puppets and comedy aren’t you’re thing, how about magic and comedy? We also saw this fabulous show during the comedy festival last year and it had all the kids in hysterics! Cheap prices on Tuesdays!!
Wednesday 17th April
FREE: Dream Big, Princess Disney Exhibition
Dream Big, Princess The Exhibition originated as a collaboration between The Walt Disney Company and Girl Up, the United Nations Foundation’s initiative to promote leadership development for young women around the globe. I can’t wait to take my girls to this!
FIVER: Build a bear for $8
Head to Westfield Fountain Gate for this school holiday bear making activity. There will be teddies, bunnies and accessories to purchase. Places are limited, bookings essential.
FANCY: Room on a Broom Live on Stage
See your favourite story come alive in the city! Can’t wait to see this one.
FANCY: Peppa Pig at SEA LIFE
Guests will begin their SEA LIFE Melbourne experience with a Peppa Pig mask and a special edition activity book before embarking on an underwater journey to find Peppa’s friends and family among the marvellous reef creatures. Thursday 18th April

Free passes to so many places in Melbourne, eg. 10 free passes for your local YMCA.
FIVER: Donut decorating at Krispee Kremes
For $7 you get two original glazed donuts and all the toppings to go to town! Plus a bonus hat and balloon….woo hoo!
FANCY: Dinosaurs at the Zoo (all three of them!)
So arguably this could have gone into the FREE category if you are a zoo member (because you really should be). But if you’re not splurge the $$ to go check out the dinosaurs amongst the animals. There’s a whole bunch of special events including movie nights, easter egg hunts, and oppruntinities to be a Mega Keeper!
Friday 19th April (Good Friday)
FREE: Nothings free today (because almost nothing is open!)
BUT for almost FREE head to Green Olive for a gold coin donation Easter Egg Hunt!!
FIVER: Kids Day out!
Free entry with all activities ranging from a gold coin to $10 (all proceeds going to ROyal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal), this event is fun for the whole family, and good for the soul.
FANCY: Melbourne Easter Show (in Cranbourne)
With rides, Easter Egg hunts, monster truck rides and showbags say goodbye to your money and hello to chocolate!
