220 Cranbourne – Frankston Rd,
Langwarrin
Beretta’s in Langwarrin has busted out from being simply a local’s favourite to a pub worth travelling to. Why? Because it boasts the largest free entry indoor playground in Australia…. and their chocolate mousse is to die for!
We’ve been a bunch of times, it’s big. Not Super Zu big, but for a pub play space it is enormous!
What’s great?
This play area has been well designed to pack a lot into a compact area by going up the entire height of the building. There are multiple platforms and levels for your kids to explore. There is only one entrance/exit to the play area so as long as you keep your eye on that you know your child is playing safely within.
For smaller children there is a great 0-3 year old area which can be easily viewed from the tables just behind some glass. There’s a few tables in the prime viewing location so if you have young kids ask for one of these when you book.
All ages are well catered for though from toddlers up to tweens (surely teenagers can sit at a table on their phones or something, right?). A few video games make up the first level to this play space so that’s where the bigger kids tend to hang out.
So for everyone in between three and tween? There’s tonnes to do. Slides, tunnels, things to climb! All soft play style, and surprisingly (given it is a food venue) really clean! We’ve been a bunch of times and I have always been impressed.
How about the food?
Beretta’s serve good quality pub bistro food; parmas, fish and chips, pizzas etc, but a few more exciting dishing too. My fave is the Thai Beef Salad! The kids menu is great too and the portions really generous. This was my daughter’s kids parma. You can see the full menu here
The only real “downside” to visiting Beretta’s is that it can get very busy. I turned up once at 5pm on a Monday without a booking and had to pull out my best hungry-pathetic-pregnant-woman face just to get a table. Don’t be like Mel… book ahead—> Phone: 9789 2711
If your kids can get a bit overwhelmed when there are lots of kids around try heading to Beretta’s for breakfast or brunch instead. Who needs a play centre when you can save on entry fees and grab yourself bacon and eggs instead? No brainer!
P.S Don’t judge me, it was a two coffee kind of morning!
Beretta’s has a fantastic Kids Club too, the best I know of by a mile. Join for free (click here) and your child can get tonnes of great specials. $2 waffle days, $2 meal nights, and come in during the month of their birthday to receive a free icecream cake, meal, balloon and card! Amazing; you’ll even be posted out a membership card for each of your children… join the fun here
We love Beretta’s and I’m sure you will too. Take your mother’s group for a change of scenery to the good old playcentre (especially in the month that all of your mother’s group kids have birthdays!) and you’ll have a ball! Babychinos for all!!
Follow Berettas Kids Club on Facebook to stay up to date with all their $2 meal days, and other great specials! See you there.
