Oh, to be a Princess for a day. Is that not every little girl’s dream? Well we were lucky enough to get all dolled up for a High Tea with some magical princesses pretty recently and just had the best time.
Magical Princess Entertainment have many princesses who attend parties and functions throughout Melbourne, but this was their first time attending a High Tea. We had the pleasure of meeting the Snow Queen, the Tower Princess, Beauty, and the Cinder Princess for a spot of tea (and some champagne!).
The High Tea was the first of its kind, and ran smoothly and was a heap of fun. It begun with everyone (mostly mums and their daughters) sitting down and beginning their feast. Shortly afterwards, one by one, the four princess made their entrance into the ballroom.
Each princess started her meet and greets at one of the four long tables, posing for photos, having some cuddles and signing autographs. There was more than enough time for each princess to meet each child so we could just wait at our table drinking tea (or champagne) while the princesses did their rounds.
The food was excellent, with a great selection for both adults and kids alike. We certainly didn’t go hungry (in fact my mum friend and I literally scoffed our faces with all the goodies and we still didn’t finish it all).
After everyone was done eating and the princesses had met all the children, the Snow Queen put on a little show for everyone singing “Let it Go”. The tiny princesses were enthralled and completely engaged. It was pretty magical to watch. Her singing was great too.
In addition to the food and entertainment the high tea also included free face painting and a gift bag to take home. All in all, a fantastically magical event.
Now let’s have a moment of honesty, ok? Truthfully, I was not a parent who had really ever considered hiring an entertainer for my daughter’s birthday parties; but after this experience with Magical Princess Entertainment my opinion has completely changed. The girls were engaging, chatty, friendly and perfectly in character.
My daughter usually shies away from people in costume; but not at this event. She dived right in there which is a real credit to the authenticity that these performers brought to their roles. In particular I take my hat off to the Tower Princess and the Cinder Princess who really made my daughter feel at ease, and were 110% on point character wise.
If you see these guys have another event on the horizon, or you have a birthday party coming up, seriously look at hiring a Princess (or a superhero) to attend. Your kids will be in heaven!
Well…. I was anyway!
