Lah-Lah Having Fun Tour!

Lah-Lah’s Big Live Band are touring across Australia, and coming to a town near you. We were lucky enough to see them in Scoresby, Victoria and had an amazing time. If you haven’t heard of Lah-Lah’s Big Live Band they are a five piece live band that introduce children and their families to the wonderful world of music and musical instruments.

Here’s a bit of a sneak peak of what you can expect to see at a Lah-Lah concert…

When we arrived at the concert the atmosphere was pretty exciting; lots of children eager to see their fave musical stars! Our particular venue was predominantly on the floor/on your bum seating, with chairs in a U shape around the outside. Sitting on the floor for an hour can be a little uncomfortable for parents, but obviously it is excellent in letting the kids get up and dance freely…. so I’m ok with that trade-off.

The band consists of five members who each have an important role in making music; but it is mainly Buzz and Lah-Lah who do the bulk of the dialogue within the concert, and they were excellent with their improv and ability to engage the children.

We were also given a program on arrival so knew the order of the songs, which I thought was a nice touch and cute souvenir. Throughout the performance there with a few extra exciting parts, such as giant balloons, which the kids went crazy for, and it certainly kept the kids engaged throughout the performance.

After the show all five band members came off the stage to interact individually with the kids, and show off their instruments. You can meet Tom-Tom and his drums, Mr Saxophone (and you guessed it) his saxophone, Squeezy Sneezy with his piano accordion, Buzz and his double bass, and Lah-Lah (on vocals) for a cuddle!

We made our way around to everyone and Missy Moo had a great time interacting, playing the instruments, and just generally being amongst it. The band were great with the kids, and their enthusiasm was contagious!
