Bradman Drive,
Cranbourne West, Vic
This brand new park is an absolute winner! It is hidden within another Cranbourne housing estate (they’re on a roll this week), and I’m sure will soon become very popular with locals in the City or Casey, and perhaps even popular enough to draw visitors from all over Melbourne.
This park can be found on Bradman Drive in Cranbourne West. If your GPS can’t find it (as the roads are very new), here’s a map:
There’s so much to love about this park, so let me summarize the good bits (there are many!)
It’s big.
A decent sized park with a good big kid part and little kid part. All the elements are there; slides, swings, rockers, rock climbing wall, in-ground trampolines, and to much more to list it all. Being brand new, obviously nothing is broken or missing and everything is working well.

Seating area.
There is a nice shaded area with seats and BBQs which is great, and even a few recliner chairs. If you have older kids it would be a great place to relax in the sun whilst they have a play.
Amenities.
Toilet block on site, and lots of drinking fountains. Tick! Tick!
Challenging big kid stuff.
Now I’m not as agile as I used to be, but I was pretty determined to go down that mega slide. It is no simple feat, you must get through heaps of rope to reach the top. Bigger kids will enjoy the challenges of this playground, and there is even a downball court off to the side if they are a little too cool for swings and slides.

Attached, fenced, agility dog park.
There are not many great dog parks around that are well fenced, purpose built, and contain agility activities. This is such an asset to the community, especially given its proximity to the playground.
Areas for improvement.
Shade.
There isn’t very much shade or coverage over the playground at all. Scroll back up to the top of the page and you’ll see that the playground is really in full sun, and would be all day long. The seating area is shaded but unfortunately that is about it. Around the perimeter of the park there are many newly planted trees, so come back in 20 years and there will probably be heaps of shade, haha.
Overall this park is AWESOME! I give it a 9.5/10, losing a half mark for the lack of shade. Chuck up a shade sail and it would be an easy 10/10 for sure.

Yes but the agility dog park is unsafe. I would warn you against using the equipment with an experienced or beginner dog until the developer can fix the equipment. It’s currently under review with the council.
